Summer is the perfect time to create small goals for yourself to help enhance your fitness journey! Not sure what to add to your bucket list? Here are some ideas to help get you started!
Try a bike ride outside!
Do you love doing spin here at SPENGA? Then why not try your hand at an outdoor ride! Whether it is for leisure or fitness, taking a ride outside is a great way to get fresh air while keeping your heart healthy.
Grab your walking shoes!
Is there a local trail you’ve been wanting to check out? Or maybe you want to try a new walking route with your pet? Let’s keep that cardio push going by adding walks into your daily or weekly routine! Make plans with friends to go for a stroll or push yourself to take a brisk jog around the neighborhood.

Set a personal at-home strength goal!
On those days you just can’t make it to the gym, don’t let that stop you from putting in work! There are many ways you can set attainable strength goals at home to help push you along in your fitness journey, here are some suggestions:
- Personal push-up goal: each day do as many push-ups as you can in a row and record in a notebook. Be sure to acknowledge when you’ve reached a new maximum!
- Monthly burpee goal: set a goal for the total number of burpees you want to do in the month, and record your progress in a notebook (did you meet your goal before the month ended? Great! See how many more you can get in!)
- 5-minute upper body exercises: we all can find 5 minutes a day to workout, can’t we? Try doing some bodyweight arm exercises such as arm circles, dips, punches and jabs, planks, supermans; the list goes on!
