Member Spotlight: Amber Colacchio

 

What is your favorite part about SPENGA?! What motivates you to keep coming back?

 

I love the variety! Not only am I getting 3 different workouts in every session, but also, I am working different parts of my body with new exercises, so I never get bored. I keep coming back because my time at SPENGA is my only “me” time. I can zone out and forget about what’s happening outside the gym and just focus on myself. It’s like therapy to me. I am also addicted to seeing results and I want to keep improving and pushing myself!

What most surprised you about SPENGA?

 

I was surprised by how much variety is possible in spin, strength, and yoga. I have learned to do things I never knew existed. I was also surprised by how enjoyable such a high intensity workout can be. Going to SPENGA never feels like a chore.

 

How has SPENGA impacted your life outside of the studio? 

 

I feel a lot more relaxed now because I have an outlet for my energy and feelings. I also feel stronger and more confident.

 

What part of SPENGA would you like to grow in (SPIN, STRENGTH or YOGA) and why?

 

Strength! I have never used weights regularly before SPENGA so seeing myself do things I could’ve never done 6 months ago feels great. I want to keep improving and growing.

 

Tell us something about yourself that many of us may not know

 

 I LOVE to cook and bake! I have been vegetarian for 5 years, so I love experimenting with recipes to make them veggie friendly. Making fresh pasta is my favorite, I find it so relaxing.
